Jim's entire life has been a mixing of music and technology, so mutayting the two together with an army of freaks has been a perfect place for him to be. After all -- if you can spend your life making music while playing with toys, why not?

Studying both computers and music in college, Jim ended up with a degree from UCLA in music where he studied trombone with Bill Booth. Since then he's been creating technology for places like XDrive technologies, the Jet Propulsion Lab in Pasadena, and numerous Internet companies -- while at the same time working in the music field with such greats as Solomon Burke, Bill Watrous, Mutaytor's own Johnny Avila, and many others in both the jazz and rock'n'roll world.

Currently, besides creating mayhem with The Mutaytor, he owns an audio company in Los Angeles called SSR Rentals, a pro audio store called SSR Audio and an Internet Web company called Speedy Puppy Internet.
